Boys,
I really want things to be good for you.
I want you to laugh,
to have fun,
to truly be happy.
I want you to live
and to love life with your whole heart.
There’s a lot of work to do,
and I try to stay close.
I write out the plan,
I think,
okay, good, yes, like that, that’s the plan…
And then the field changes sharply.
Everything gets turned upside down.
The whole plan flips.
Because I realize:
right now, you need something else.
And we start shifting into a different line.
I look at your texts — 118 pages —
and I think:
alright, Nazokat,
this is solid work.
But right now,
the boys need something else.
There’s no big philosophy in this.
I wrote this simply because I wanted to share it.
Kiss your kids for me.
Tell them they have the best dads in the world.
Oops — and moms too.
Girls, hi.
P.S.
I feel shy again…
My apologies.
Made on
Tilda
